Struggling! August 25, 2010

I’ve been studying like crazy lately! :S  Ughh, It’s an everyday issue now as two thirds of the school year have passed, and there’s only 3 months left until vacation :O

I even have the dates for english final exam at AACI! I’m already nervous!  shame*

I hope to get a decent grade at least! English is a passion to me, so it shouldn’t be difficult, but you know what? I’ve had many surprises already :P

Like for example, last year with my friend, we got there on time but at some point – there was so much traffic so it took longer than we expected to arrive, but that’s not all; I was very nervous, and when the woman called me and another guy to do the oral part, I was shakin’ and sweating for running :P

Then I explained (or I tried) everything to the teacher (that was a good idea according to the results) hahaha!

BUT the worst part was when the oral exam finished: I asked the teacher where was the room which I had to do the written part of the exam and she explained me where it was – Alright, i said!

When I got into the room, I shamelessly greeted the teacher and gave her my ID. When I told her my name, she said that I wasn’t on the list! >.<

Later, she wrote my name under the long list of students and said it wasn’t a big deal, BUT I HAD GOT INTO THE WRONG ROOM! I felt SO ashamed when I explained everything to the receptionist! :X

But nothing happened ^^ A few weeks later, I got my marks on the internet: I had a 10 in the oral and a 9.50 in the written :D (9.75 of average).

I was so proud of myself :D I still keep the diploma and everything :P

Sooo… this year, I expect to improve!

Couch Potatis July 23, 2010

Okaaay, the title perfectly shows my lifestyle from the past week: I haven’t done anything productive!

Since I was sick, I stayed in bed all thedays and I couldn’t even go out on friend’s day (July 21)

Even my sleep time changed; I stay up all night! But well, it’s mean to be Couch Potato, not potatis. But this words  means the same but it’s in swedish.

My swedish friend taught me this word and each time I heard Potato, it reminds me of potatis! haha it sounds weird, really :o)

Today is my grandfather’s birthday, so I should do more than this; plus tomorrow I have english class and later my friends come to do a project for religion class.

On Sunday I’m going to Mar Del Plata to spend my last week of winter holidays, as when school starts, I won’t have any break until december when summer starts.

It sounds dissapointing to me! I want this year to end but on the other side, I don’t! Also, on the last 3 months of the year all the exams are going to explode my head D: I’m not ready for this!!

But well, they’ll eventually finish, and that means that I have only one year left of school and THAT is scary!

WTF will I do with my life!?

At least I have music July 18, 2010

Listening to: One – Metallica

It’s funny how I’m sick and writing here.

Yesterday I felt sooo bad that I felt like dying. Today I’m much better, luckily :D

I’m writing from my sister’s laptop, I’m listening to music and laying in bed as part of my illness, just to have some rest.

The best part of my life currently, is that I’m on winter break, which means: 2 weeks out of school… but what a good way to spend my holidays, huh? Having a strong cold :/

The weather’s been awful this past week and it still is; very very cold! At least it could be snowing, but no! Buenos Aires has to be so selfish to leave us the cold without snow :(

I forgot to mention that I have a new cellphone! <3 I loveee it! It’s a red Nokia E63 :D

I could write a review of it someday if you guys want! But I can’t find a bad side to it, it’s awesome :)

Some people don’t like the keyboard in that way, but I find it more useful, actually, it’s much better than a touch phone, as it takes less time to get used to. My uncle and mother have touch phones, and I don’t like them at all, I mean, the outside is very nice but it gets complicated for some functions and writing. (I don’t forget that I wanted an iPhone before, haha)

For now I’m off :) Wish me luck to get better by tomorrow.

Pain Squared! June 9, 2010

Here I am, again!

On monday, I went to do a blood test and I was terrified! I hate needles and when I think of them I feel dizzy; terrible I know! The worst part is that it was a glucose test, to see how it goes.

There have been a few cases of diabetes in my family, so it’s better to check if there’s anything around, specially because a few years ago, I was in the limit of glucose in blood.

This analysis consisted on drawing blood at first, and immediatly after, they made me drink too glasses of full of warm water with lemon and diluted glucose. To honest, it was the most disgusting thing they ever made me try.

I thought it was too much sweet for me! I did it in a very slow way, when I hurried, I wanted to throw my guts up :P although I had to drink it ASAP because then I’d have to wait two hours to draw me blood again.

So yeah, pain squared! Two times! :S

The best part of it, was that the woman who did it, was very friendly and my mother also tried to have a conversation with me during that time because I was likely to faint :P Then there was another girl, the assistant who was also very friendly and she told me she liked Mocca Frapuccino from Starbucks! HAHAHA. What a coincidence!

The second time she gave me a candy (reminded me of a little child!) and even unwrapped it for me.

We spent 3 hours there. After all, I realised that it wasn’t that bad, and my mother was right: We’d rather to have those kind of analysis than the worse ones; as we remembered when I had bladder problems it was terrible all the things I had to go through.

But after all, life goes on!
